It is a matter of great delight to recount our memories with the fact that the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UIU started its journey in October 2003. From then on, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has now become a well known reputed CS engineering school within a span of 5 years only. In due course, it has introduced a lot of other programs and many departments. At present we are offering degrees on Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, and Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering.
The Department of CSE is energized by a group of committed teachers. The Master’s program is delivered by highly skilled teachers having wide academic and professional exposure. We are giving special emphasis to uplift the quality of our students with respect to their knowledge building capacity having well balanced moral values of life.
We all know that, today, IT can play the mostimportant role in the development of economy of developing countries. There are a lot of scopes of setting up more and more software industries in our country. We are really lacking skilled workforce to develop quality software for export, though quite a good number of graduates are being produced each year by the public and private universities.
In this regard, we are introducing a series of professional skill development program for the students. The main idea behind our initiatives is to groom our students as per the demand of the industry. We are, at present, designing our professional touch-up courses under the umbrella of “Center for Research and Professionals”. As a part of our continuing progress, already in June 2007, we started working as the Eleventh Local Academy of CISCO. At present, we are offering CCNA program.
We believe our bold steps in driving Department of CSE, UIU toward one of the region’s best with your cooperation would soon be realized.
